Silica Gel for Chromatography, Base-deactivated, End-capped Octadecylsilyl

Silica Gel for Chromatography, Base-deactivated, End-capped Octadecylsilyl

A very finely divided (3 to 10 µm) silica gel, treated before the introduction of octadecylsilyl groups by washing and hydrolysing most of the superficial siloxane bridges. To minimise any interaction with basic compounds further it is carefully end-capped to cover most the remaining silanol groups. The particle size is stated after the name of the reagent in tests where it is used.
