Complies with the following test.

Related substances Carry out the method for gaschromatography, Appendix III B, using 1 µL of a solution prepared in the following manner. Suspend 0.2 g of the reagent in 5 mL of water, add 3 mL of 2m hydrochloric acid and 5 mL of hexane, shake for 1 minute, allow the layers to separate and use the upper layer.

The chromatographic procedure described in the test for 2-Ethylhexanoic acid in the monograph for Amoxicillin Sodium may be used.

The sum of the areas of any secondary peaks is not greater than 2.5% of the area of the principal peak.
