Chromatographic reagent grade of commerce.

Swollen beads 60 µm to 140 µm in diameter presented as a 4% suspension in water. It is used in size-exclusion chromatography for the separation of proteins with relative molecular masses of 6 × 10⁴ to 20 × 10⁶ and of polysaccharides with relative molecular masses of 3 × 10³ to 5 × 10⁶.
