Definition

Aromatic Waters are saturated solutions of volatile oils or other aromatic substances in water, usually employed for their flavouring rather than their medicinal properties. Aromatic Waters prepared as described below contain a small amount of Ethanol.

Production

Aromatic Waters are normally prepared by diluting a concentrated, ethanolic solution of the aromatic substance with Water.
