Sulfuric Acid, Dilute

Sulfuric Acid, Dilute Sulphuric acid, dilute;

Contains 98 g/L of H2SO4.

Add 5.5 mL of sulfuric acid to 60 mL of water, allow to cool and dilute to 100 mL with the same solvent.

Assay Into a ground-glass-stoppered flask containing 30 mL of water, introduce 10.0 mL of the dilute sulfuric acid. Titrate with 1 M sodium hydroxide, using 0.1 mL of methyl red solution as indicator.

1 mL of 1 M sodium hydroxide is equivalent to 49.04 mg of H2SO4.
