Properties: Leaflets from alcohol, mp 71-72°. Another modification mp 69-70°. Dec >270°. Practically insol in water. Sol in ether, benzene, hot methanol, hot ethanol.
Melting point: mp 71-72°; mp 69-70°
Use: Antioxidant in rubber compounding, stabilizer for petr fractions, additive to silicone oils. The soly in oils is increased by the presence of benzyl alcohol.
