Properties: Minute, white or cream-colored crystals from isopropyl ether, mp 90-92°. Characteristic odor, bitter taste. Sparingly sol in water. Sol in dil acids; freely sol in ethanol, benzene, dichloroethane. Also sol in ether, acetone. LD50 orally in mice: 820 mg/kg (Ogura).
