Properties: Crystals from ethanol, mp 179°. uv max (ethanol): 250, 325 nm. Soluble in acetic acid, hot ethanol; slightly sol in hot methanol. Practically insol in acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform, ether, cold alkali.
