Properties: White to colorless crystals. Poisonous! Dimorphous: orthorhombic, converted to cubic above 316°. d (orthorhombic) 8.445; d (cubic) 7.750. mp 824°. bp 1293°. Soly in water (g/100 ml): 0.057 (0°); 0.065 (20°). The soly increases in the presence of HNO3 or nitrates.
