Properties: White, odorless crystals or cryst powder; faint bitter taste. Gradually turns pink on exposure to air and light. Soluble in 7.5 parts water. Almost insol in alcohol. Insol in ether. The aq soln is neutral to litmus. Keep well closed and protected from light.
