Properties: Ferric chloride complex, lustrous green crystals from alc. Soly in water at 26°: 8.96% giving a red soln. Soly in alc at 26°: 0.60%. Solns show a yellowish fluorescence. Absorption max about 552 nm; curves: Stotz et al., Stain Technol. 25, 57 (1950).
