Properties: Yellow crystals from dil alc. Readily sol in water; slightly sol in 95% alcohol; moderately sol in acetone; practically insol in ether, chloroform, carbon disulfide, benzene, petr ether. Aq solns fade slowly on exposure to light but may be stabilized by HCl.
Use: Colorimetric determn of amino acids and amines.
