Properties: Cubic crystals from acetone, dec 255-260°. Violent convulsive poison! Stable to acids and alkalies in dilutions up to 0.1N. Dec upon prolonged boiling of aq solns. Soly in water about 0.25 mg/ml. Slightly sol in acetone. Insol in methanol, ethanol. LD in mice (mg/kg): 0.20 orally or s.c. (Hagen).
