Properties: Colorless or white, deliquesc crystals. mp about 300°. Sol in about 0.6 part water; freely sol in alcohol, acetone. When dissolved in water the temp is considerably lowered. The solns are neutral. Keep well closed. LD50 orally in rats: 764 mg/kg; i.v. in mice: 484 mg/kg (Anderson, Chen).
