Properties: Crystals, mp 92-93°. Slightly bitter taste. Very sparingly sol in water: 30 mg/100 ml at 25°; 140 mg/100 ml at 50°. Sol in many common organic solvents. Practically insol in vegetable oils. Stable in dil acids and alkalies. LD50 in mice, rats (mg/kg): 2340, 1320 orally; 980, 450 i.p. (Berger).
