Properties: Crystals from hot water. Higher melting modification, mp 171-172°. Appreciably sol in hot water; sol in acetone, acetic acid, ethanol, isopropanol, methyl ethyl ketone.
Melting point: mp 171-172°
Use: Intermediate for surface coatings, lubricating oil additives, cosmetics, surfactants, plasticizers, textile chemicals.
