Literature References: Ca3(PO4)2.CaO also represented by 4CaO.P2O5. A byproduct of the Thomas steel process used in Europe: Iron ore of the "Minette" type from Alsace and the Rhineland contains about 2% phosphates which are combined with calcium and separated during the refining process.
Use: Agricultural fertilizer.
