Properties: Crystals from methanol, mp 128-132° (Barbier). Also reported as mp 220-222° (Kezerian, Ramsey). Slightly sol in water. Insol in ethanol, acetone, benzene, and most organic solvents. Acid dissociation constants (25°, 0.1 M KNO3): pK1 2.4; pK2 3.9; pK3 6.8; pK4 9.8.
